With the summer season now drawing to a close, farmers in the MD are hustling to harvest their investments off the field. Motorists should expect to see an increase in machinery on the roads, both rural and highways.
High water levels are beginning to impact MD infrastructure. Muskeg Road and the Municipal Boat Launch washrooms are affected.
The MD is accepting applications to its 2020 Vendor & Equipment Registration.
The Muskeg Road portion of the Old Smith Highway is restricted indefinitely to local traffic only due to poor road conditions.

Road Ban Order No. 2020-92 comes into effect as of 8:00 am on Friday, June 12, 2020. This Order rescinds all previous Road Ban Orders and shall remain in effect until further notice.
In consideration of the COVID-19 pandemic, the MD has moderated its stance on the state of regional highway infrastructure.
