MLA Pat Rhen Shares Update on our Roads

On May 7, 2020, Pat Rhen, MLA for Lesser Slave Lake, shared an update on his Facebook page thanking his constituents for reaching out to him about the poor conditions of our local roads:

“I want to thank all my constituents for their emails, phone calls, and petitions during this time, this assisted with making sure Slave Lake roads get the upgrade they need. I have been working extremely hard with the Minister’s Office for several months on this matter and am very pleased with what we were able to come up with! We will be receiving over 36 km of paving, this includes 12 km of Highway 2 from west of Kinuso to east of Highway 33; 14 km of Highway 2 on either side of Highway 88 (4.2 south and 10 north), and; 11 km of Highway 2 near Canyon Creek. We continue to monitor Highway 88 bridges and culverts, at this time, we will continue to monitor and maintain those sections of Highway as needed.”
