Considerations During COVID-19
To prevent the further spread of Covid-19, we strongly encourage everyone attending events to keep gatherings small and maintain a distance of at least two metres from others in accordance with public health guidelines.
The MD understands that the situation might be frustrating for those who wish to enjoy normal social activities. However, some facilities may be facing unforeseen challenges and determine that it is in the public’s best interest to cancel or reschedule activities

Arts & Culture in the Lesser Slave River Region
Stage North
Stage North is a non-profit organization that draws music, dance and cultural acts to the area, and organizes events that connect many talented Canadian musicians and performers with Lesser Slave River audiences. Local residents Len and Nicola Ramsey, Bill and Ellen Criss, Stacy Kirtio, Dawn Pudlo, Carmen Pearson, Sue Deas, Dave Symington, Sheri Smears and Bruce Beamer make up Stage North, with the support of volunteer sound man Neil Deas.
The primary space for Stage North is the newly opened Legacy Centre in the Town of Slave Lake. This beautiful new theatre is a wonderful place to experience Stage North’s productions. Stage North receives grant funding from the Alberta Foundation for the Arts, as well as the generous support of local businesses.
