With a population of seven thousand and climbing, the Town of Slave Lake is located within the borders of the MD of Lesser Slave River at the southeastern tip of Lesser Slave Lake.
MD Council and Administration work in tandem with their counterparts at the Town of Slave Lake on a number of intermunicipal initiatives vital to the region at large. Additionally, vital services such as Lesser Slave Region Fire Services and the RCMP are shared between the Town and the MD.
