The Agricultural Service Board provides expertise and resources to help manage weed, pest, soil and water conservation programs; assist in the control of livestock diseases; promote and develop agricultural policies; undertake projects referred by Council and Administration; and assist with the preparation of the annual Ag Services budget.
Council appoints three farmer members and two Councillors to the Agricultural Service Board (ASB). ASB meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month, and all residents are welcome to attend. Take part in the process and help steward the growth and prosperity of regional agriculture.
The ASB is bound by the terms of the Agricultural Service Board Act.
